Promoting and launching an energy upgrade programme for condominium buildings is the core of the agreement signed today at the Tecnopolo on Friday 18 January by Ettore Rocchi, Chairman of Iren Rinnovabili, Paolo Bonaretti, CEO of Iren Rinnovabili, and Roberto Meglioli, Chairman of Re-build, a network of Reggio Emilia companies, in the presence of Alex Pratissoli, Councillor for Urban Regeneration.
Today’s agreement launches the operational phase of the partnership previously initiated between the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, Iren, the representative associations Confcooperative, CNA, Lapam, Legacoop Emilia Ovest and Unindustria, together with Iren Rinnovabili and Enea. Under the initial agreement, more than 130 energy analyses were carried out on the same number of energy-intensive condominiums in the municipality of Reggio Emilia, outlining the need to upgrade about 3,250 apartments occupied by about 12,000 people.
Cairepro was one of the founding companies and promoters of the Re-build business network, of which Paolo Genta, a Cairepro partner, was chairman when the network was set up: “with this signature we have launched a new business model that will lead to a reduction in the energy requirements of buildings, mainly through improvements in the performance of the building envelopes. This choice, made by the parties involved, will result in an upgrade to the existing buildings in our territory and will therefore lead to a significant reduction in wasted energy”.
