The Pappagnocca-Terrachini district heating power station replaces the old plant with a new identity-creating architecture and upgraded internal technological structure.

This project tackled and solved two main problems: the first was the volumetric impact on the surrounding residential area caused by the construction of an artificial hill bordering the structure.

The second was the application of innovative architecture to this type of building, expressed through sober yet pleasing features.

Hence undulating forms, the use of milled concrete blocks for the facades and titanium zinc for the roofs.
