As part of the redevelopment of the historic centre of Reggio Emilia, the paving and redefinition of the public space of Viale Allegri is an example of excellence, as it involves the recovery of the area around the former Zucchi Barracks, headquarters of the University of Reggio Emilia.
The pavilion, which includes a great hall, study rooms and rooms for educational courses, is also one of the most visited parts of the city centre, since this area is a transport hub.
For this reason, the pavement has been widened and all the flowerbeds around the centuries-old trees occupying the space in front of the building have been redesigned.
