28 November 1947, a group of young students from the Politecnico di Milano introduced a new approach to design, founding the <em>Studio Cooperativo di Costruzioni Civili<\/em>, now CAIREPRO, the first cooperative of intellectual professionals in Europe, and possibly worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>A model based on collaborative expertise, shared decision-making, and a strong sense of responsibility toward the
