Architectural design for a university campus conceived as an integrated system of residences and services, organised through pavilions, open courtyards and pedestrian routes. The proposal includes residential buildings able to accommodate approximately 1000 students, together with spaces for study, social interaction and daily activities.
The masterplan is completed by the university restaurant, canteen, administrative building and medical centre, including accommodation for the head of healthcare services, creating a functional and recognisable campus system.
The buildings are oriented along an east-west axis to limit direct solar exposure and improve the climatic performance of the entire complex. Shading roofs and filtering facades protect the interiors from solar radiation, while a natural ventilation system uses the upward movement of air to support passive cooling of the indoor spaces.
Rainwater harvesting is integrated into the design for the irrigation of green areas and other compatible uses, contributing to the overall sustainability of the campus.
