Educational facility for the local community
The preschool was developed as part of the municipal urban plan, with the aim of improving the distribution of early childhood services in the western area of the town.
The building accommodates five sections and was designed as a flexible structure, able to adapt to the community’s needs over time.
Form and spatial quality
The building is arranged in a fan-shaped layout. The classrooms are oriented to the south, ensuring good natural light and a direct relationship with the outdoor spaces.
The interiors alternate between more intimate areas and double-height spaces, creating a varied and dynamic environment designed to support children’s everyday experience.
Shared design process and sustainability
The project was developed through discussion with pedagogists, teachers and parent representatives, ensuring consistency with educational standards and the quality of the internal spaces, which are marked by bright, recognisable colours.
The building was designed according to sustainability and energy efficiency criteria, with solutions for natural ventilation and low-consumption building systems.
