Redevelopment for new care functions

The project involved the renovation and upgrading of an existing seven-storey pavilion, transformed into a facility dedicated to healthcare and social care services. The design included inpatient rooms, outpatient clinics, communal areas and support facilities, together with a specialised unit for people living with Alzheimer’s disease.

The new internal layout adapted the building to evolving care requirements, improving the relationship between healthcare functions, social spaces and environments dedicated to residents’ wellbeing.

Architecture and a new identity for the building

The project also included the redesign of the facades. Horizontal floor bands were clad with terracotta tiles and combined with grey areas around the windows to emphasise the rhythm of the openings. The choice of materials and colours renewed the building’s appearance, giving it a contemporary character while maintaining balance and a clear architectural identity.
