The project concerns the construction of a new school building integrated with the existing facility, designed to accommodate approximately 300 students.
The architectural, structural and building systems design defines a three-level building, with classrooms and laboratories organised around a central internal square.
The ground floor includes the entrance, staff station, two classrooms and two laboratories connected to the existing building. The upper floors contain ten classrooms, arranged according to a clear and functional layout.
The building was designed to NZEB standards, with high-efficiency systems and rooftop photovoltaic panels.
Particular attention was given to safety, fire prevention and accessibility. The integration of a lift, dedicated ramps and a tactile pathway from the pedestrian entrance removes architectural barriers and supports inclusive use of the spaces.
