The project concerns the architectural design of a medical centre serving the Bambey–Ziguinchor university campus, conceived to provide healthcare support for students, staff and visitors. The facility integrates spaces for outpatient care, reception and possible inpatient accommodation, completing the campus’s essential services.
The building adopts a simple contemporary language, defined by compact volumes, wide overhanging roofs and sun-shading elements that protect the interiors from solar exposure and improve environmental comfort.
Functional organisation
The facility is arranged over two floors, with a total area of approximately 800 sqm.
The layout was developed to ensure clear routes and efficient organisation of healthcare activities. It includes consultation rooms, inpatient rooms, a pharmacy, waiting areas and support spaces, organised around a simple and accessible layout.
