Interior design of the pavilion

The Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre at Ospedale Maggiore in Parma is arranged over six floors, with a total surface area of more than 9,000 sqm.

The project focused on the furniture fit-out and interior design of the entrance floor and the entire pavilion, with particular attention to the quality of the environments and to redefining the experience of spaces dedicated to care.

Humanisation and environmental quality

The design was developed through a participatory process involving healthcare professionals, patients and former patients. Focus groups and questionnaires helped identify needs related to comfort, privacy, welcome and overall liveability.

Furniture, colour schemes, materials and acoustic comfort solutions were defined in line with these findings, translating the needs that emerged into functional and balanced environments, able to support the work of healthcare professionals and improve the experience of users.

The implementation phase was followed through construction supervision, ensuring consistency between design and fit-out.
