New hospital energy plant
The project was developed to strengthen the energy infrastructure of the university hospital campus of Ospedali Riuniti di Ancona through a technological upgrade able to support the high energy demand of the facility. The intervention included a new heating plant and a cogeneration plant, designed to ensure continuity and reliability in energy supply.
The new plant was located on the west side of the campus, in a strategic position connected to the existing utility networks, replacing the previous facility located on the east side.
Functional integration
The project includes a single building housing both the heating plant and the cogeneration plant, together with all service systems required for their operation. This solution allows more efficient use of space and stronger integration between the different technological components.
From an architectural point of view, the building is defined by an essential and technical language, expressed through exposed concrete panels with horizontal grooves, combined with steel elements and galvanized metal sheets.
