Works on Rome’s historic heritage

As part of the Framework Agreement for Jubilee 2025, CAIREPRO was assigned one of the main work packages, the second most significant in scope, covering 13 sites across the Municipality of Rome. The works involve churches, monumental complexes, villas and archaeological areas of major historical value.

The sites include:

  • Church, Cloister and Lapidarium of San Lorenzo Fuori le Mura
  • Monumental Complex of Santo Spirito in Sassia
  • Roman Villa delle Colonnacce
  • Mausoleum of Castel di Guido
  • Church of San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane
  • La Polledrara di Cecanibbio Palaeontological Museum
  • Roman Villa of Ripa Mammea
  • Archaeological Area of Via della Lega Lombarda
  • Pyramid of Caius Cestius
  • Villa and Baths of Via Carciano
  • Villa Podere Rosa in Via Fabbri and Roman Villa in Via Pollenza
  • Mausoleum of Aquilius Regulus
  • Archaeological Area of Tor dei Cenci

The activities included architectural, structural and building systems design, together with safety coordination during the design phase, across listed sites of high historical and artistic value.

The works cover restoration and conservation, structural investigations, masonry consolidation, building systems upgrades, accessibility improvements, lighting design, landscape works and protection measures for the sites. The integrated approach combines conservation, safety and public access.
