Piazza della Vittoria Underground Car Park

Car park and public space

Construction supervision concerned the development of the Piazza della Vittoria underground car park in Reggio Emilia, arranged over two levels and comprising 230 private parking boxes for residents and business owners in the historic centre. The project required careful coordination during the execution phase, due to its location in the heart of the city and its direct relationship with the layout of the square above.

Structure and square layout

The structure was built using a mixed construction system, with prefabricated elements for columns, beams and slabs, and cast-in-place concrete for retaining walls, drainage cavities and foundations.

The roof of the car park also forms the surface of Piazza della Vittoria. The car park entrances and exits, made of steel and glass, are integrated into the layout of the square while maintaining the continuity of the public space.
