Redevelopment of the former railway line
The redevelopment of the disused coastal railway line, along the section between Albisola Superiore and Celle Ligure, included the architectural and structural design for its transformation into an elevated walking and cycling path along the seafront.
The project adapted the existing section, widening it towards the sea and creating a new route suited to the shape and conditions of the original railway alignment.
Landscape integration and construction choices
The existing tunnel was restored and integrated into the new layout, maintaining its role as a crossing point and enhancing its presence along the route.
Construction choices focused on low-impact materials and solutions, in line with the coastal setting and the need to preserve the Mediterranean vegetation. Lighting design completed the project, ensuring safety and usability.
The works were also managed through construction supervision and safety coordination, ensuring technical control and consistency between design and construction.
