Specializing in seismic vulnerability and the restoration of historic structures, he combines a scientific approach with respect for existing buildings. At CAIREPRO, he applies an integrated methodology inspired by Vitruvian principles, working in continuous dialogue with architectural design.
He studies materials and construction techniques from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, with a particular focus on industrial archaeology. His work includes the seismic upgrading of the Church of San Giorgio in Luzzara and the Church of San Bartolomeo in Musiano, as well as numerous post-2012 earthquake interventions in the historic center of Reggiolo (Reggio Emilia).
